The Fourstar Kid’s Folding Metal Chair with a padded seat and back were sold individually or as part of a set consisting of two chairs and a table. This voluntary recall to receive a Retrofit Kit does not involve the table itself.

You may use this website to request, free of charge, a Retrofit Kit for use only on a Kid’s Folding Padded Chair that was manufactured or imported by Fourstar Group Inc. or Four Star International Trading Company. If your chair does not list either of these company names on the bottom of the chair’s law label (upholstery label), then this Retrofit Kit will not work on your chair.

The easy-to-install Retrofit Kit is designed to ensure the chair’s safety lock remains effective to prevent severe lacerations to children’s fingers. Currently the chair’s hardware uses a split-ring, which may have encouraged some owners of these chairs to accidentally disable the lock by pulling the split-ring as a means to disengage the lock, instead of using the lever.
